We are looking for a People Advisor to join our small but fabulous HR team.

JOB PURPOSE

The People Advisor is a key position within the People Team that supports the effective and professional HR operation and service for colleagues and Managers across the business. As the first point of administrative escalations for payroll and HR queries, the People Advisor is responsible for providing a seamless People experience and providing generalist HR support, partnering and administration to all colleagues.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Lifecycle

• Manage administrative support for all HR related queries throughout the employee lifecycle, including (but not limited to) the new joiner experience, processing changes to current employees’ details, and the leaver process

• Manage and escalate any concerns to the wider team where necessary.

• Support with payroll queries and actions and escalate where required.

• Support management of the HR and Payroll mailbox alongside the People Administrator and escalate any issues where required

• Support maintenance of HR data, systems and employee files in line with best practice standards.

Recruitment

• Advertise internal vacancies on Job Boards

• Manage recruitment of all roles from role going live through to offering and onboarding.

Employee Relations

• Ensure that all Managers and Employees are being made aware and understand HR policies and procedures, providing guidance and advise.

• Review, propose and develop new policies and procedures in accordance with latest legislation changes

• Manage and resolve employee concerns and workplace conflicts.

• Provide first line ER support and advice to managers.

Benefits

• Manage day to day pension queries and oversee pension payment preparation

• Support on Benefit reviews alongside wider team.

• Support administrative duties for all benefits alongside People Administrator where required.

Advice and Partnering

• Support all stores with day-to-day HR and payroll queries, escalating to the wider team where required.

• Advise Store Managers on all HR matters and seek support or guidance from wider team or escalate where required.

• Support and advise the People Administrator in all duties.

Projects

• Lead on organisation of all staff events across the year.

• Support on wider office cultural efforts and play a key part in driving a great place to work.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Proactive and ability to act and work with pace

• Good knowledge of MS Office package

• Working knowledge of Employment law and HR best practices

• Experience using HR/Payroll systems, ideally ADP iHCM or similar is desirable

• Excellent time management, communication skills and attention to detail

• Good numerical capability

• Willingness to assist the wider team members

• Keen to learn new skills

• Willingness to get stuck in to all activities
