We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team.

JOB PURPOSE

This position will afford the successful candidate invaluable experience in a true Omni-channel retailer with a strong focus on driving the financial reporting of the online business, store portfolio and recently launched international business.

This is a broad role which will be responsible for weekly and periodic reporting, month end processes, budgeting and forecasting, other ad-hoc analysis and will give you the chance to be at the forefront of an exciting, fast growing and dynamic omni-channel business.

The role will report directly into the CFO with extensive exposure to multiple senior stakeholders across the business.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business partnering with the senior stakeholders driving commercial analysis and reporting, including

· Store investment viabilities and rolling store contribution report.

· Retail labour productivity and efficiency reporting

· Marketing spend tracking and ROI of offline performance channels and direct marketing

· Online digital marketing spend, ROI of performance channels and gross demand to net sales analysis

• Supporting CFO on other commercial finance initiatives to increase sales, margin and to control the cost base

• Creation of annual budgets, forecasts and the 3YP

• Owner of BI reporting (Targit and NAV), building and developing new insightful reports

• Own daily, weekly and monthly sales, gross margin and KPI reporting for all Channels (online, stores, concessions and international)

• Overseeing the production of the board pack, specifically, a detailed understanding of the variances to budget.

• Part of the periodic management accounts process, including posting key journals, ensuring accurate accruals and balance sheet reconciliations

• Must be proactive – can do - and want to drive change to the business’s profitability;

• Analytical, inquisitive and commercial mindset;

• Solid understanding financial statements

• Meets all reporting deadlines and strong organisational skills;

• A team player with good people and communication skills;

• Accuracy of information – “right the first time”; and

• Ability to build strong working relationships evidence by feedback from stakeholders

Essential

• Strong excel skills, systems literacy

• Studying towards a finance qualification or has an interest in working towards an accountancy qualification

Desirable

• Experience or passion to work in retail

• Experience business partnering a Trading or Marketing function

• Microsoft Navision/Dynamics Experience

• Targit Business Intelligence (BI)

• Worked in a multisite, omnichannel environment
